Bio-Vita is not a vitamin, nor a mineral, it is used as an extra to cleanse the blood, increase food intake and aid digestion. It will help the animal get more goodness from its feed, it is not recommended to remove vitamins minerals etc, just let the animal enjoy a quality of life.
Bio-Vita is a fermented and blended liquid product incorporating plant and beet extracts and berry juices, organic acids, fruit acids, essential oils and herbal tinctures.
The concept of feeding an acidic, low pH product to animals is not new; apple cider vinegar has been fed with good effect for many years here in the UK and in mainland Europe, cider vinegar and other fermented fruit products are still used, as is grape juice. Bio-Vita is 10 times more powerful than these.
The thinking with Bio-Vita was firstly to create a product with a naturally consistent low pH, then, using this as a base product, to add in other vital ingredients which would benefit body metabolism and overall health and development potential of the animal by enabling it to digest more roughage.
Why should a low pH product be beneficial?
By creating a low (more acidic) body and blood pH, there is less opportunity for the pathogens to develop.
When Bio-Vita is applied to feed, it lifts the intake level dramatically, owing to the fact that Bio-Vita, being slightly acid, creates plentiful supplies of saliva. Saliva does two things - firstly, it stimulates appetite, secondly, salivation is the first enzymatic stage of digestion. Try eating chips without vinegar, it's not easy! Bio-Vita also works further on with digestion in the stomach.
Plant extracts, these being beet juices, hop extracts, and fermented plant extracts, all have different properties, some clean the blood whilst others work on the liver and kidneys to expel waste and impurities out of the body. Others have a very strong effect on the mucous membrane and actually cleanse the reproductive tract, clearing out retained cleansing and discharge. The final group tend to be the most noticeable as they help to keep the eyes, skin and hair looking healthy.
The herbal/botanical extracts are again chosen for their specific activity on the vital body organs, liver and kidneys etc. Some have a beneficial effect on the respiration, others are widely acknowledged for their ability to produce strong heats and good conception and two of the herb tinctures are specifically added to keep the animal calm and less stressed. Please note: Valerian is not used in this product, so the product does not contravene current Rules of Racing.
The essential oils are predominantly there to enhance taste, aid digestion and to keep the heart, lungs and body metabolism in optimum condition.
