De-Lice is a safe orally administered liquid preparation designed to remove and deter external parasites such as lice and mange and other associated conditions. De-Lice is a blend of plant and botanical extracts, known to be unacceptable to external parasites which infest the skin and coats of horses, dogs, cats and other fur-bearing animals and reptiles.
De-lice is given orally in a regular monthly programme, by giving a set amount on one day each month. It can be given via drinking water, onto a small amount of moist feed, can be soaked into a treat or bread finger roll or given by dropper. De-Lice is safe and environmentally friendly.
De-Lice has proven useful against Damalina Equi, Haematopinus Asini, suckling and chewing lice along with Scarcoptes Scabiei, Chorioptes Equi, Demodex Equi and Psoroptes Equi (ear mite).
Prolonged infestations that go unchecked lead to weight loss and generally unthrifty-looking horses. External parasites can quickly spread from horse to horse, so the whole stable yard must receive De-Lice. Any used bedding should be burnt and stables and equipment should be well cleaned out and disinfected regularly. All rugs and tack should be thoroughly washed and disinfected, and kept seperate for each horse.
To help the skin and coat condition to recover more quickly we also recommend our Shampure shampoo. This low sudding, invigorating shampoo and conditioner will cleanse and also help blood capillary action in the skin tissues and hair re-growth.
De-Lice also has a beneficial effect on skin and hair condition to ward off external parasites.
De-Lice can be used when external parasites are apparent, but is far better when used in a regular programme.
De-Lice is not a veterinary medicine.
De-Lice contains no banned substances and as such does not contravene the rules of racing, as per The Jockey Club.
