MULTI-WORM
| Using Multi-Worm in a regular monthly programme keeps horses and ponies free of internal (endo) parasites. A horse with no endo-parasite challenge will be less stressed and will look and perform better. |
More Detail:
Multi-Worm is administered in a simple monthly programme, by giving a set amount on one day each month, in moist feed or soaked into a treat or bread roll. Multi-Worm is very cost-effective, a 500 ml bottle will last an average-sized, well-fleshed 16-hand horse for 6 months. Multi-Worm is also effective with dogs, cats, poultry, homing pigeons, smaller avians and farm animals.
Multi-Worm works by creating an environment in the stomach which is totally alien to adult endo-parasites, causing them to be rapidly expelled.
Multi-Worm is not a harsh or harmful purgative and is safe to use on pregnant mares and foals, it is also safe for older horses.
Multi-Worm does not kill eggs or larvae, which is why the product must be used in a regular monthly programme. Normally after 3 months' use, the subsequent parasitic worm life cycles have taken place and no more eggs are laid. With this in mind, worm egg tests should be done no sooner than 10 weeks after the first application of Multi-Worm. This is to allow time to break the life cycle of the parasitic worms already present in the horse prior to starting the Multi-Worm programme. Multi-Worm is non-specific in it's action; it covers all adult internal parasites that are in the stomach. It is important to remember that red worm larvae are encysted in the gut wall and as such Multi-Worm has no effect here.
